Event Date

Place

Bodnamal

In Bodnamal, Kupwara, Rise and Restore organized an intensive free medical and mental health camp in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Kupwara, and the Indian Army.

The initiative brought essential healthcare services directly to the village, combining clinical check-ups with meaningful conversations around mental health awareness and treatment. Community members were screened for non-communicable diseases, ensuring early identification and guidance for conditions that often go undetected in remote areas.

The Indian Army extended crucial on-ground support by facilitating the camp and distributing essential medicines for immediate needs, reinforcing a strong network of care and responsiveness. The camp also highlighted critical gapsβ€”particularly the need for regular eye screenings, including cataract detection, and sustained access to medications for chronic conditions such as diabetes.

This initiative reaffirmed the importance of continued, accessible healthcare interventions in rural regions, strengthening the resolve of Rise and Restore to expand such efforts with greater reach and impact.
